Augmentations and Payloads
To meet specific weapons system and training requirements, unique augmentation and payload devices are often utilized. These include vector and scalar scoring systems, radar cross-section enhancement devices and various infrared and electronic countermeasures payloads (such as ALE-47 chaff and flare dispensing system).
Every BQM-167A delivered to the U.S. Air Force contains the ALE-47 chaff and flare dispensing unit, system controls for electronic attack and infrared pods and a Luneburg lens in the nosecone.
To meet the needs of specific customers, CEi designed and fielded a proprietary tow-target launch system that allows the tow-target reeling mechanism to remain onboard the primary aircraft, rather than on the sacrificial tow-body.
Our proprietary tow launcher gives customers the flexibility to launch two secondary targets at variable lengths up to 8,000 feet.
